Pam Hansen
Pam Hansen
Pam has over 25 years in the wellness and fitness arena, and came to yoga after a varied career path in related health disciplines. Pam holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in nursing and began her career as a Wellness Director for older adults at retirement communities in Southern California.
She then parlayed her medical knowledge into the corporate world, where she worked as a sales representative for the pharmaceutical and medical supplies industries. After moving to North Carolina 18 years ago, Pam put her career on hold while raising her family. It was during this time that Pam became enthralled with yoga, martial arts and a holistic lifestyle. Pam obtained her yoga certification through Lizzy Hoffman, and became one of the first 75 people in the world to be certified as a Budokon sensei (instructor)--teaching a fusion of yoga, martial arts and meditation.
Pam continues to deepen her knowledge by exploring many different styles and pathways within the practice of yoga, and passionately brings what she has learned to her students -- both on and off of the mat. Pam is certified as a holistic living coach, has run a small business providing nutritional detoxing programs and healthy meals to clients, and is a true proponent of mind, body and spirit health!

Carole Frey
Carole Frey
Carole (500 RYT) has been practicing yoga for 7 years. First it was a way to compliment a life of running and soccer but it was also a means of learning to slow down, become more present, and discover more joy in the moment. As her interest in yoga grew she found a strong desire to learn the traditional parts of this beautiful practice and eventually be able to share them, as a teacher, with others.
Carole completed her 200 hour Hatha / Ashtanga Yoga teacher training in Pokara, Nepal with Rishikul Yogshala September 2014. Her main teachers included Vipin Baloni, Prashantj Yog, and Gangesha Chaitanya. When she returned home she immediately began teaching vinyasa style classes.
With her extensive experience she traveled to Kerala, India (the birth place of Ayurvedic medicine) in January 2018 to complete her 300 hour Hatha / Ashtanga Yoga teacher training with Rishikul Yogshala. Her main teachers included Pankaj Sadana, Gangesha Chaitanya, Swami Atman, and local Ayurveda doctors.
Carole’s current teacher is Johnna Smith whom she practices Ashtanga Yoga (Mysore and Led style) with in Charlotte, NC. She completed a 3 month apprenticeship and assisting program with Johnna deepening her understanding of the philosophy, postures, and traditions of Ashtanga Yoga.
Carole offers challenging classes with an emphasis on breath and alignment and provides all levels of variations and modifications. Her classes are influenced by the philosophy and postures of Ashtanga Yoga. She provides a well rounded class that will help one improve their strength, flexibility, awareness, and overall connection of mind, body and soul. You will leave feeling rejuvenated, energized and empowered. Carole encourages everyone to try yoga and discover their true path!
Emily Carper
Emily Carper
I have been studying, practicing, and teaching yoga for over 15 years. I initially came to the practice following an injury, seeking a more holistic approach to healing. It wasn’t long after the injury healed that I began to notice how far reaching the practice of yoga was. It had begun to seep into other aspects of my being. I am most grateful for the depth yoga has given to my spiritual practice. Whether still or in flow, I am deeply aware of Divine Grace. I have had the great fortune to study with many incredible teachers. I am most humbled by the experience of completing my 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Rolf Gates (author of Meditations from the Mat). Believing there is always more to learn and share, I am currently pursuing my 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training through Asheville Yoga Center.
My intention for the classes I teach is to provide a nurturing space to explore the many aspects of yoga. It is an honor and a privilege to teach. When I am not teaching, I am balancing a full-time career in corporate wellness as a Registered Dietitian and raising a young family. It is with the unending support of my incredible husband and the amazing Melting Point community that I have been able to live a dream of mine. I look forward to meeting you on the mat!

I began my yoga practice in 2013, and the following year, after graduating from UNCC I attended Asheville Yoga Center and achieved my 200 RYT certification. My first yoga class that I taught wasn’t in the studio but out on the water for Standup Paddleboard Yoga. After teaching SUP yoga and in the studio, I traveled abroad to South Africa where I helped start and lead yoga classes for a resort near Cape Town, where I was the only yoga teacher within 100 miles. I am very grateful for all of the experiences I have had, from group classes to working one on one with a wide range of people and goals. Having those different experiences as a teacher has definitely shaped and helped me grow as an instructor and in my own practice.
My favorite part about teaching is connecting asanas in creative ways that allow the body to feel free and grounded. While instructing a class I like to challenge my students with their practice, whether it is from a mental and/or physical state and incorporate it in more of a slow and breath orientated geared class. Life is full of chaos, and during the time of practice, I like to present students with the opportunity to detach from their surroundings and just be in the moment.

Ashley is a devoted Yogini and teacher who imparts her passion for well-being in every class. Her style pulls from multiple yogic disciplines, and is both creative and focused on alignment. Justin Alexander
Justin is a proud Ohioan and Buckeye for life, yet he is grateful to be in North Carolina and know’s that it's where he is supposed to be. Justin moved to Charlotte at the end of 2009 to pursue a career in law enforcement with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office. He excelled while he was there, participating on several specialized units. In 2015 he began his career as a real estate agent and that has been his primary employment since. Justin was introduced to yoga in 2016 and became serious about his practice in 2018, with it changing his life in a beautiful way. After looking at how yoga had impacted his life in such a positive way he decided to commit even further and take his 200 hr yoga teacher training, which he completed in May 2019 at The Om Factory, 2 weeks after the birth of his first child Eloise. Justin is passionate about yoga, Ashtanga, nutrition, health, fitness, music, community, growth and family. When he’s not on his mat you can find him spending time with his wife Nicole, being the best girl dad he can be to Eloise, playing with their pup Chloe, listening to all types of music, going to music festivals, camping, performing wedding ceremonies (as a certified wedding officiant) and of course helping people buy and sell homes. Justin loves making new friends, so don't be shy he’s down to chat. Peace, Love, Unity, Respect...
Heather Miller
Heather Miller
Heather (500 EYT) is a wife, mother, and public school special needs teacher. All of these titles are made better because of the practice of yoga. After her first yoga class 12 years ago, there was no turning back. Being born to addicted parents forced Heather to chase home. She lived in foster homes, shelters, and in homes of distant relatives. After a lifetime of searching, she had finally arrived home in herself. Heather strives to make people feel at home in themselves, too. When we find this place, we become kind and feel connected to each other. We do better and we live better. Before moving to Huntersville, Heather was the owner of Yoga Loft Conover. Heather is grateful to come from a yoga community who values connection and for her teacher Vicki Vanderlinden. She is excited to join the Melting Point family and already feels at home. Heather leads a dynamic flow that will create space and strength in mind and body.
Michael Miller
Michael Miller
Michael (500 RYT) has been practicing yoga for around 7 years. Sana Klein
Sana Klein
From Charlotte, NC, Sana is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), as well as a barre instructor and personal trainer. Through her college years, Sana found her passion and healthy lifestyle through dance. After graduating, she needed a more regular form of physical expression, and this is where yoga came in. The beauty of dance was that she never felt like it was exercise – it was purely for pleasure, providing a form of self-expression and self-care – and the same is true for yoga, which is so much more than the physical practice. Having done yoga a few times in high school and college, Sana revisited this ancient practice when her path aligned with that of former Melting Point teacher Jasmine Margreno. In May 2019, Sana graduated from Jasmine’s and Carole Frey’s 200-hour teacher training with the Om Factory and shortly thereafter moved to New York for a year to teach at Jasmine’s studio. Sana’s rise to fame in dance was limited by arthritic feet, which led to bad knees and a bad back. Yoga has helped tremendously in improving these ailments and keeping the aches and pains away. Because of Sana’s history of bizarre injuries in everyday life, her main priority is helping students have the proper technique so they get the most out of class without injury while also providing that same experience of enjoyment, self-care, and personal growth provided by yoga. And maybe even a chance to laugh – probably at Sana. She is thrilled to be back in Charlotte and part of the Melting Point community!
